frode

The highly anticipated return of three of our favorites in a fabulous new collective. Frode has been to town on a number of occasions, most recently with his “regular” long-running Norwegian trio featuring himself, Jon Rune Strom and Paal Nilssen-Love. This time it’s the phenomenal Chicago stalwart Fred Lonberg-Holm in the third spot due to touring conflicts. Frode and Fred toured as a duo a year or two ago and got along famously so it seemed a natural to Frode to bring him along for this tour and we’re absolutely thrilled he decided to do so. This is a collective of improvisers each of whom is at the top of their game. There’s no doubt as to the exciting results all in attendance will experience on this important night of music. The Guild is pulling out all stops and making this a two set evening featuring this trio as the sole group for their twice monthly Outset series. Admission $10-15 . Don’t miss this.
