DONATE
Creative Music Guild is launching a $10,000 fundraiser to support two vital initiatives: the 2026 Improvisation Summit and CMG’s year-round programming in 2027. Your contribution helps bring internationally acclaimed artists to Portland, supports dozens of local musicians and interdisciplinary creators, and sustains ongoing concert series, workshops, listening sessions, and community events that foster adventurous music and creative collaboration throughout the city.
The first $5,000 will support the Creative Music Guild Improvisation Summit (October 13-30, 2026), featuring visiting artists Caroline Davis, Judith Berkson, Lorin Benedict, Ches Smith, and John Hollenbeck’s GEORGE, alongside more than 30 local artists and ensembles. The second $5,000 will help fund CMG’s year-round programming, including the Outset, Confluence, Artistic Director, and AMBIV series, as well as new programming at Blue Butler Studios. Every donation directly supports artists, strengthens Portland’s creative music community, and helps ensure a sustainable future for experimental and improvised music in our region
