Akila Fields Trio

Akila Fields is a multi-hyphenate, multi-genre musician in Portland, Oregon. Akila’s Trio (Akila Fields, Matthew Holmes, Machado Mijiga) is fresh off the release of “A Secret Third Thing”, an album composed of 8 jazz originals. Beyond the jazz world, he makes shoegazing R&B as Palm Dat. Every Saturday, Akila co-hosts “Intuitive Navigation” – a radio show on xray.fm focused on new releases and showcasing local artists. Last year, Akila added visuals to his repertoire with the release of the musical short film “I Saw the Mountain”
