DELOS ERICKSON
Delos Leo Erickson is an acclaimed pianist, composer, music director, educator and performing artist with a diverse musical background. After receiving his degrees from the UO Jazz Program, studying with Keith Brown, he brought his talents to Portland, OR. Participating in a wide array of genres, Delos is currently the co-leader of PNW based band, BendreTheGiant, and has the pleasure of performing around the country with artists such as Braxton Cook, Dezron Douglas, Nicole McCabe, and many more. On top of leading bands, Delos is a sought after session musician, composer, and side man among other groups and musicians in the area. Influenced heavily by improvisation, his music spans from avante-garde all the way to the pop idiom. Using his wide array of influences to create, inspire, and pursue the moment of creativity.

ARRINGTON DE DIONYSO

His work isn’t simply poetry or music; it’s revelation, a raw transmission from the fringes of human experience where language frays into glossolalia and the self dissolves into the primal soup of existence. To engage with his work is to stand at the edge of the abyss and realize the abyss is singing back.”
An uncompromising voice in contemporary music, Arrington de Dionyso integrates ancient soundmaking techniques with trans-modernist inquiries into the nature of consciousness. His propulsive improvisations utilize voice and reeds (primarily bass clarinets and his invention the Bromiophone) as multiphonic tools blazing through the liminal spaces between shamanic seance and rock and roll ecstasy.
While deeply rooted in the punk inclination to tear down musical standards in an effort for liberation, Arrington’s music weds no-wave iconoclasm with the spiritual searching of Albert Ayler-era free jazz to unveil primordially potent universalities. He embraces sounds as colors, emphasizing complimentary spectrums- from circular overtones whispered through bamboo flutes to the penetrating and deeply guttural howls of amplified throatsinging- with athletic precision and mythic virtuosity.
Whether as a band leader or a solo performer Arrington’s music evokes an “Ancient Future”, sometimes shocking and hallucinatory, always aiming to channel Spirit.
Born in Chicago in 1975, this son of Methodist ministers later attended theater school in Arkansas and taught himself seven languages. After moving to the Pacific Northwest, as a youth Arrington supported himself as a traveling busker selling handmade cassette tapes until he arrived in Olympia to study ethnomusicology and Butoh Dance at the Evergreen State College. In 1995 he founded the genre destroying No Wave Gospel band Old Time Relijun which garnered critical praise and a loyal fanbase over the course of endless tours of North America and Europe, releasing dozens of albums on K Records. In 2009 he created Malaikat dan Singa (“Angels and Lions”), a powerful new project integrating aggressive dancehall rhythms with gamelan scales, using the Indonesian language to interpret the mystic poetry of William Blake.
In 2011 Arrington was invited to do an artist residency in Indonesia leading to the first of many collaborations with the groundbreaking indigenous metal-art-noise band SENYAWA. It was during these travels that Arrington learned of the Javanese Horse Trance ritual known as “Jathilan” and began to participate in ceremonies with traditional village musicians throughout Southeast Asia. Journeys such as these deepened Arrington’s understanding of music as a means of altering ordinary awareness and inducing spiritual experiences. He participates not only in concert but also in ceremony around the world with such diverse artists as Reak Juarta Putra in Bandung, West Java and the Master Musicians of Jajouka in Morocco. His early obsession with Tuvan throatsinging lead him to become a serious student of Siberian Shamanism, and it is precisely through that connection with the spirits of the natural world that he draws the strength of his music.

CODE POEMS
Code Poems is Taylor Long (percussion) and Matt Sargent (guitar/electronics). Code Poems is focused on performing music at the intersection of experimental classical and free improvisation. Recent activities include the premiere of Matthew Goodheart’s Migrations for guitar, percussion and 8-channel electronics, and performances throughout New York and the Midwest. Code Poems’ debut album, featuring the music of Michael Pisaro-Liu, will be released by Other Minds Records in late 2026.

CRAIG BURK
Since 1979, Craig Burk has been presenting his uncompromising brand of music in New York CIty, Europe, and Portland. Burk blends elements of psychedelic and rock, free jazz, theater music (Broadway, Weill-Brecht), Indian classical, electro-acoustic, movie soundtracks, and western classical – from Mozart’s operas to Schoenberg art lieder to the aleatory tendencies of John Cage.
In 2021, Burk retired after working over 30 years in international business. He then made the Reaper digital audio work station his instrument of choice, recording improvisations and then (re-)arranging them, processing some segments through speed and microtonal pitch change, reversal, reverb, and EQ. LORIN BENEDICT
Lorin Benedict is an improvising vocalist (scat singer, essentially) who works in the areas of jazz and related music. He co-leads several small groups dedicated to playing highly structured music in a manifestly loose and playful way. This includes the duo Bleeding Vector, the trio The Holly Martins, and duo projects with drummers Sam Ospovat and Anthony Fung, vocalist Ron Heglin, and bass player Logan Kane. He has also, over the past two decades, appeared as a side-man in groups led by musicians such as Howard Wiley and Sheldon Brown, among many others. He is soon to release a duo album with alto saxophonist/composer Caroline Davis.
MACHADO MIJIGA
Classically-trained, jazz-weathered, and eclectically inclined, multi-instrumentalist Mijiga left the proverbial creative “box” at a very early age, with access to many instruments and a diverse musical background brought about by an intercultural heritage.
A Portland native, Mijiga is a musical polymath; composer, producer, bandleader, educator, gear fanatic, and audio engineer, to name a few.
Mijiga studied classical and jazz saxophones at University of Puget Sound from 2012-13 and Washington State University from 2013-2017, with elective studies in Percussion at UPS in 2012, and ensemble experience at Whitman College from 2008-2012.
Mijiga has shared the stage and/or collaborated with the likes of Ghost Note, The Black Pumas, “Weird Al” Yancovic, Esperanza Spalding, Benny Golson, Terence Blanchard, Brian McKnight, Charlie Hunter, Mark Giuliana, Bill Watrous, Tamir Hendelman, John Clayton, Eddie Palmieri, Fareed Haque, Darrell Grant, George Colligan, Damian Erskine, Todd Sickafoose, Thomas Marriott, Joe Kye
Ora Cogan, PDX All Stars, and many more.

Mijiga has toured with GRAMMY winning band Portugal.The Man playing saxophone, drums, keyboards, and electronics, and has played world-famous festivals and venues, such as Red Rocks, Radio City Music Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Wonderbus, Edgefield, Triple Door, Metro, The Atlantis, Whalebone, Sherblues, and Racket NYC, as well as done virtual performances for KEXP and Taco Bell.
Mijiga has served as Artist-in-Residence at (Portland’s) Roosevelt High School and Beaumont Middle School, along with being a guest lecturer and workshop collaborator for Portland State University.
As a composer, Mijiga won the Portland Jazz “Composers Cook-Off” in 2020 and became one of Third Coast Percussion’s “Creative Currents” Partners in 2021.
Mijiga is currently the President of the Creative Music Guild, serves on the executive board for the Jazz Society of Oregon, and has served as a community panelist for the Regional Arts and Culture Council, and has worked as both a collaborator and consultant for Montavilla Jazz and Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble, and several other arts non-profits within the Pacific Northwest.
As a producer and audio engineer, Mijiga currently has 47 records, 22 EPs, and 18 singles released under his name, with all but two of these releases self-produced.
Mijiga curates a custom catalog with the music licensing agency Marmoset Music, offering everyth
ing from pre-existing work to organizations like Meow Wolf, to producing custom work for the likes of Travel Oregon and Google Chrome.
Mijiga has also served as a freelance producer and engineer for artists such as Rob Araujo, Darrell Grant, and more.
Authenticity and uniquity assume the locus of Mijiga’s artistic identity — self-expression is the prime directive, and the medium of choice changes like the weather.
