Bill Brovold

Educator, Artist and music maker. From home made instruments, to cowboy music and occasionally taking a stab at classical and noise (both quiet and loud), all styles are open season to Bill Brovold.

The mastermind behind the powerful band Larval, and a veteran of the early Rhys Chatam orchestras, Bill Brovold’s complex compositions smash the borders of rock and classical music. Highly structured and meticulously crafted, these quirky sound sculptures jump from mood to mood – from Zappa to Henry Cow, the Zen Vikings to Glenn Branca, Brovold has created a powerful new instrumental rock that tells a story. -AllMusic

Performing along with Bill will be violinist, Kurt Zimmerman and Guitar/electronics, Mark Ormerod, long time collaborators with BB

Bebop ’79 is a genre-bending, mechanical-neon-jazz “duet” from Michael Fanuzzi (drums, guitar, sax, voice) and continuing iterations of his Machine, LAZERBEAT (piano, synthesizers), which creates fantastical melodies in direct response to percussion and musical context. Yet, the duet has an unpredictable nature that makes it feel truly alive. The Machine is not only reacting; it is in itself creating. We invite you to join us in one such moment of creation.
