ANTHONY STILLABOWER
Anthony J. Stillabower’s improvisations are shaped by voice, feedback electronics, and machine learning algorithms. Situated at the threshold of audibility, he inhabits a moment of friction and flow, where presence flickers between memory and material flux. Through this interplay of listening, playing, and writing, he seeks to continually renegotiate his relationship to sound, perception, and technology—as well as the porous boundaries between these and music.
SAM ADAMS
Sam Adams has been performing in the Portland area to close to 15 years, primarily as the co-leader of the band Sama Dams. Known for honest and idiosyncratic performances, he remains stylistically syncretic, embracing jazz, folk, classical, gospel, and the avant-garde, and composing vocal and instrumental music.

TWO SAVAGE DENZELS
Two Savage Denzels, a trio that performs largely free improvised music and features not one, but two Denzels! Denzel Ramirez plays drums and percussion and is a gifted jazz composer who creates stories in song with cultural and political themes influenced by Rap and R&B. A graduate of Mount Hood Community College (MHCC) and mentor at Young Musicians and Artists (YMA), he can be heard playing at Burlingame Space, MHCC, and other venues throughout Portland. Trombonist Denzel Mendoza attended The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC and performs with The Illegal Son (an interpretation of the Undocumented way of life through Sound and Music), Portland Jazz Composers’ Ensemble, and many others. He is a Grammy Award winner who has forged a singular artistic voice shaped by lived experience, cultural memory, and collective struggle. John Savage plays saxophones and flute with ambient electronics in Two Savage Denzels. He has performed in a wide spectrum of ensembles and has an extensive discography including recordings of his own groups with PJCE Records (Cartridge, Lie Very Still, Demolition Duo). Savage earned a Ph.D. in flute performance from New York University with emphases in improvisation and extended techniques.
