MIDWEST PROGRAMME
Midwest Programme is the solo project of Portland, OR multi-instrumentalist Johnathan Foster.
Combining traditional and electronic instruments, Foster blends chaotic, textured drones,
looped and layered vocals, and volume-swelled synths to produce massive, cinematic-style
soundscapes. As a previous member of the noise project Puzzle Teeth, Foster is familiar with
letting sounds explore and demolish traditional genre barriers on their own. As Midwest
Programme, Foster looks to harness these sounds and apply themes of mystery, personal loss,
and, ultimately, self-exploration, all while painting narratives found in dystopian science fiction
media.

DYLAN M. HOWE
Dylan M. Howe is an experimental musician and sound artist from the Pacific Northwest. His music emphasizes the use of field recordings, homemade and modified consumer electronics, radio transmissions, digital processing, and acoustic instrumentation to blur the lines between acoustic and electronic sound. Working through drone, improvisation, and collage techniques, he has released music on various formats under a variety of monikers and collaborative projects and performed across the US since 2011.

LOGAN STROSAHL
Logan Strosahl is a composer and woodwind artist based in Portland, Oregon, in a perpetual state of omnivorous synthesis, and The New Normal is his group. The musical goals of the New Normal are much the same as early Duke Ellington: to unite under the auspices of contemporary dance music all manner of musical goals and techniques, and orient the music around the musicians playing it.
Born in Seattle, Washington, Logan started his musical journey as a jazz saxophonist, garnering national accolades during high school, and eventually graduating from New England Conservatory with a B.M (2011) in Jazz performance, and later Universität der Künste Berlin Berlin with an M.M (2021) in Jazz Composition. Living in New York from 2013-18, Logan recorded three albums of his original compositions for Sunnyside Records (as well as a duo album with pianist Nick Sanders). After moving to Berlin in 2018, Logan composed and recorded “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” for chamber orchestra and saxophone soloist in collaboration with conductor Michael Cohen-Weissert; an hour-long musical retelling of the famous 14th-century poem, Sir Gawain was then released on Sunnyside Records in 2021. Since 2022, Logan has resided in Portland, Oregon, composing works – an albums-worth of which is planned for release on New Focus Recordings -looking for work in composition for media, and composting food after catering shifts, and also getting really into techno.
