Krissy Bergmark

Krissy Bergmark is a tabla player, percussionist, improviser, and educator who centers her creative work on bringing tabla to new genres and cross-genres through composition and performance with a grounded understanding of the traditions of the instrument. Bergmark has received commissions and grants through the Jerome Foundation, the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, and other organizations. She composes and performs with her progressive folk trio Sprig of That, who released their debut album “bloom” in early 2023, produced by Wes Corbett and engineered by Grammy-winning engineer Dave Sinko. Krissy has shared stages with artists like Vijay Iyer, Ingrid Jensen, and Tyshawn Sorey, as well as Abigail Washburn and Charlie Parr, and a variety of other artists. Her debut album, entitled Everything’s Glacial Shine, is set to be released in 2024. Bergmark is a professor of music at Oakton College. She studies tabla with Pandit Yogesh Samsi in the Punjab Gharana.

TODD SICKAFOOSE AND JONNY RODGERS

Todd Sickafoose is a Tony & Grammy award- winning composer, producer, orchestrator, bandleader and double bassist whose music straddles the worlds of folk, indie rock, jazz and chamber music. He has been described by the San Francisco Chronicle as “a captivating improviser, imaginative composer, and master of collaboration”. His credits include arranging and orchestrating the hit Broadway musical Hadestown and producing all four current recordings of the show. For over 20 years, Sickafoose has recorded and performed internationally with songwriter/activist Ani DiFranco.

Arch Cape (Rachel Bumberg)

Arch Cape is the solo creative project of visual artist and drummer Rachel Blumberg. Using various forms of the drum kit, pitched and unpitched percussion, field recordings, keyboards, and sometimes voice.  Arch Cape creates improvised ambient soundscapes and composed pieces that flow into one another,  often creating a live score to her stop motion animation and film collages. Her current work explores the human relationship of time to memory in relation to the natural world  – water, plants, bird song, and landscapes.  Arch Cape has shared stages with Matmos, Cate Le Bon, Califone, M.Ward, Dragging an Ox Through Water, Lori Goldston, Mirah, Tara Jane O’Neil, Old Unconscious, and many others. As a touring and recording artist, Rachel  has performed all over the world in different ensembles at small venues, concert halls, and museums. She is a touring and recording memberof the experimental rock band Califone and spiritual jazz band Old Unconscious along with several other on-going collaborations. Rachel currently resides and works in Portland, Oregon
