Issac Wooten-trumpet
Ben Congo- Saxophone
Raf El Khalif- guitar
Rudy Lopez- bass
Alan Cook-drums

As an exploration of free jazz, soundscape, politics, exploratory music, interstellar space and the unseen, Raf E.K. is setting out to break barriers through connecting and immersing listeners within a tightly curated tapestry of musicians that seek to expand the generally held boundaries of jazz. This performance begins with an hour long set of continuous sonic storytelling and mystery with a brief intermission followed by a 2 hour jam session open to musicians seeking to more deeply enrich and expand their understanding of the sonic palette of this Black artform.

Raphael Ibn Sayed El Khalif (risek: noun) — A black multi-disciplinary implementing the visual arts, music and architecture, combating the ethnocentric ecologies of Century 21.2. He personifies a dualistic vernacular within his work. Pushing our perceptions of culture, space & future built environments, el khalif, vividly synthesizes narratives of black experience, past and present in aims of cultivating a new black architecture.
